My trouble is i can not access it there is a password for the login and bios, The person had it have ent a clue what it was as its been in the attic for a number of years, I tried a few linux cd to boot but no good i have tried windows 98 floppy boot disc, i opened the laptop to see if i could remove the bios battery but could not find it. What i want the laptop for is for my garage to plug the car diagnostic program into the car to find out what is wrong. Re: Password Recovery
Hi Ram,
You don't say what Make and Model the Laptop is. That makes it very difficult for the guys to help. If you are lucky and it's a real old IBM Thinkpad and the keyboard lifts up easily from the front then the battery is under the hard drive. Not likely that old. Good Luck, Jim |

Re: Password Recovery
Hi again Ram,
If it's that old the keyboard releases will be the same releases as for the Lid. Some you push back and some you pull further forward. Only model numbers I remembe is something like 380 Thinkpad. More luck, Jim |
