You can link any number of documents by using the Hyperlink.
For e.g. open the first document on the screen we will call doc1, you then put the cursor on the page where the link will appear. So say you was linking the first document to another document we will call doc2, right click say in the top right of the page and select Hyperlink. a grey box will appear on the right you have an option to select FILE or WEB Page. In this case we select file and look for the file called doc2. Click on the file from the list that appears and click ok. You will then see the name of the file appear on your original document in blue indictaing a link. by clicking this link the new document will appear on the screen. To go back you will notice a blue arrow appears under the new page icon below the file Icon, click this and it will return you to the original document. Hence the importance of ensuring your cursor is selected somewhere convienient on the original document so as it does not interfere with any written work on this document. You can also create links to several documents or return links to any documents within a group of documents using the same proceedures on individual documents both forward and backwards. HOPE THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT. DOTCOM pS: IF YOU HAVE OLDER SOFTWARE TO MAKE THE LINK WORK YOU USE CTRL + LEFT CLICK (MOUSE). Last edited by DOTCOM; 03-07-2005 at 06:54 AM. |
