Internet Explorer 6 crashes with flash!

Well, the title says it all. Each time I try to load flash into IE 6 it just crashes the browser. I even tryed uninstalling all the plug-ins of flash on the computer with a flash uninstaller program you get on macromedia's web site and then re-install the new version and it still does the same thing. Now on top of that I can't restore internet explorer to 5.0 again. When I go to the add/remove program the (restore previous configurations) or whatever isn't able to be checked to more. It's just grayed out with the other two top options able. Now my tech is that I want to restore 5.0 so then I can install 5.5 but I can't restore internet explorer 5.0 anymore and I tryed re-installing windows and even deleting the internet explorer folder but it doesn't work? Do I have to completly delete the windows directory and re-install it from there so that windows can install internet explorer 5.0 or something? Or is there a way to installing internet explorer 5.0 from the windows 98 CD-ROM?

Thanks,
Steph

Have you tried to uninstall manually? Read this

Why do you want to install IE5 when you can get IE6

You obviously do not have your Windows Critical Updates & Service Packs installed.
It is essential to keep your computer's operating system and programs in top condition. That means keeping up with applying patches, hotfixes and service packs. Make sure that your Operating System and Internet Explorer are up-to-date by visiting the Windows Update Site and downloading all of the Critical Updates and Service Packs.
This may solve your problems
