Video Driver for windows 98
Hey guys,
I have for a long time been planing to run a older machine to play my old games on (mechwarriors, cammander keen etc.). I have built a machine from spare parts at work, and have loaded windows 98 (:D) on it. Problem is I can not find a windows 98 driver for the intergrated video. The motherboard is a ASUS P5V800-MX. Does anyone have any idea's on how I could get a driver for this? Or would installing a AGP video card increase my chances of locating a driver for it. Thanks in advance. Brad. |

Re: Video Driver for windows 98
According to the specs
http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_I...specifications the video is "Integrated VIA UniChrome Graphics, up to 64MB shared memory" and it's either the VIA P4M800 chipset or the VIA VT8251. Go here http://www.via.com.tw/en/support/drivers.jsp and pick your OS (Microsoft Windows, then either Windows 98 or Windows 98 SE, whichever one you have), then pick integrated graphics, and try P4M800. |
