Windows 98 and new Samsung LCD monitor
I changed the resolution on my monitor to come close to what the monitor requires, but when I rebooted, the screen is black with a message about the resolution not being optimum mode. I think what happened is that the windows startup menu is so small now, you can't see it. I can't get into the menu to change the resolution back to a lower resolution. I have tried to get into safe mode by hitting F8, but it's not working. I have a pile of work sitting on my desk and can't work! Can someone please help me?

Re: Windows 98 and new Samsung LCD monitor
use your old monitor and do a full system check cause i think its your system that's causing the problem or maybe its windows 98. try using the new LCD on another computer that has windows 2000 or xp and if it works then its the OS. tell me what resolution you changed to and what resolution you had or was the LCD new out of the box. i think windows 98 only supports only some types of resolution so check that out. if the LCD works i recommend reinstalling monitor drivers and doing a fresh install of the monitor drivers if the monitor came with a CD. if it didnt come with a cd try looking on the internet for the drivers for it. if you cant find the drivers then just call samsung tech support and ask them what is wrong... Hope I Helped!
