hey i got an old pc (HP Brio 83xx) with 2x2gb Harddrive 128mb Ram and 8mb VGA bt when i type setup on dos ....after scandisk....when it suppos to enter setup...instead it gives me an errror (run-time error R6003)
- integer divide by 0 I'v tried winme bt still gives the same error y? also can i install winxp or 2000 on this thing??? MANY 10XXXXXXXX

Hi Avok,
You did everything right but did you access the CD before trying SETUP? Sounds like you are useing the correct 98 STARTUP DISK. It will tell you the new letter for the CD. You must either X: enter then SETUP enter or type from DOS X:\SETUP enter. Where X is the present letter for the CD. SETUP exists on the root of the CD and also in the WIN98 folder of the CD. Hi Avok,
Glad you got it solved and thanks for the feedback. BIOS Antivirus option usually only asks you if you wrote in the MBR or if something else did. It usually doesn't bother you after you get past it. Jim |
