Technical Support for Recovering MS Office 2000

I have removed the 'MS Office 2000' form my PC by clicking accidentally over the 'Remove' of the Control Panel. My PC is 'Windows 98' first eddition. This has made me puzzled and I am not able to open my documents - Word or Exel.
How can I recover the removed 'MS Office 2000' without disturbing the Document files?

Re: Technical Support for Recovering MS Office 2000

Hi Nirmal

To access the files, reinstall MS Office 2000 from it's installation CD, or from a folder that contains the installation files.

If you no longer have the installation CD, nor the installation files in a folder, you can download and install the free open-source office software "OpenOffice" (from openoffice.org). OpenOffice can open files in Office 2000 formats.

Best of luck
. . . Gary

P.S. ... the most recent version of OpenOffice seems to have dropped support for Win98, but many older versions are still available & do support Win98. You can find older versions at http://www.oldapps.com/openoffice.php
