Re: fatal exception win98 help!

Hi aidynphoenix

Did everything go well on your 2nd try? If not:

Is this older computer a Compaq with an Adaptec 160 controller? There was a driver issue that complicates installations - though usually before Setup has progressed as far as your installation. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...ctID=c01197085

I suppose you could run some diagnostics to double-check the older hardware, too -- since Win98 era hardware isn't getting any younger.

Best of luck
. . . Gary

yea i got it working, i just used (scratch out cd/dvd repair kit) i cleaned the disk real well, and tryed it again.. it worked without any problems at all.. i guess its most important to have perfect condition disks, or something close to it..
