format problem.
So i got a media player that you drag and drop your files onto it.it says that
it is able to be used on windows ME but it claims it is not formated .linux claims that it is formated as FAT32 but ME claims it is formated as RAW...Also a video folder on my media player got corrupted i was able to delete it and its contents but for some reason [my media player has 4gb installed memory] it claims i am using 1.5gb out of 3???This is confusing... Is there a way to resolve this issue? -thx- |

Re: format problem.
Hi salmonz
What media player is it? At this point, if you have your media backed up, you might want to visit the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to perform a hardware reset of the device, & reformat the flash storage --- then reload your media. In the past, some media players had troubles when used with more than one operating system --- check if yours is affected by this (the flash storage was formatted differently depending on the OS). Since WinMe is somewhat hard to secure, you might want to run a malware scan or two - just to make sure that malware infection isn't complicating things. Best of luck . . . Gary

Re: format problem.
Thats kind of another problem my media player is an unbranded one so it will be challenging to figure out about it.I have used it in linux and windows XP and it is fine there. But i think the problem is the corrupted folder which i found is still there but claims to have nothing in it.Another thing is i have to install some ansi
version on Windows ME to be able to be "compatible" but it dosen't specify which/what.I'm going to scan for malware... -- |

Re: format problem.
I've ran in to a few media players that had to be formated because every thing on it got corrupted. Files wouldn't play or they showed up wrong, you might need to format the mp3 player.

Re: format problem.
Ya i re-formated it and it works perfectly but windows ME still doesn't except it for some reason.[It still says it needs to be re-formated I don't trust ME so i usually don't format stuff with it]
