OWA - Emailing Photos

When I try to send a photo within an email and send it out from Outlook Web Access the reciever will recieve it as little boxes with red X's. However, my colleague can send this same email from the same email account on Outlook Web Access and the picutres when recieved work fine. I am convinced it has something to do with my internet settings as the same email sent from two different computers have two different outcomes.

Does anyone know how I can send this email from my computer and have it work?

Re: OWA - Emailing Photos

Hi egammon

The problem is likely with the email settings of the person receiving the email containing the pictures. Many email clients now block pictures by default --- the Outlook Web Access client also does this by default.

From the Outlook Web Access FAQs webpage:
Quote:
I receive emails with pictures attached, but I cannot view them.
In the new OWA, HTML content (images, hyperlinks, etc.) is blocked when you view your messages. This feature is designed to help protect you against spam and privacy invasions. If the message you have received is from a trusted source, and you wish to view the content, you can do so by clicking the link at the top of the message which says, "Click here to unblock content.”
Most email clients have a similar setting: the person receiving your mail simply needs to unblock the content.

Best of luck
. . . Gary
