4gb file problem

I have a rar file that i'm trying to extract the contents of but the file is 4.4 gb and since i use fat32 it wont allow files bigger than 4gb.So how can i do this?
I was able to extract the files in the rar file using linux but i need windows to use it.i have an 8gb flash drive but i tried copying the file but it said there wasn't enough space in it but windows and linux claim that it has over 6gb...
Oh wait my flash drive is fat32 could that be my problem?please help -_-

Re: 4gb file problem

Fat 32 limitation, be it a flash drive or a harddrive.

Re: 4gb file problem

If you can extract the files in Linux, just copy the files to the Windows partition, or to the flash drive, then copy to Windows. As long as no individual file is larger than 4 GB, that should work.

If any single files is over 4 GB, you won't be able to use it on a FAT32 partition.
