Ghosting utility for 98
Hi all,
I'm looking for a ghosting utility that will allow me to ghost hard drives to CDs in multiple operating systems. I would like something similar to Norton Ghost, but it needs to support Windows 98, 2000, NT, and XP. 95 would be great too but not necessary. The only one I've found that supports all these OSes is not a true ghosting utility as it only supports cloning to another local disk. Nothing across the network, to an external USB drive, or to a CD. Anyone have an idea of something that will do what I'm looking for in a corporate environment of approximately 200 computers? Thanks! |

Re: Ghosting utility for 98
the GUI of ghosts allows you to image to a file and then you can burn that image file to a CD. Ghost Cast Server allows you to ghost across a network.

Re: Ghosting utility for 98
^are you referring to Norton Ghost? If so, will Norton (Symantec) work with 98 and 2000? I realize it's all NTFS so it seems like it should work, but the site doesn't say specifically whether or not it will.
Thanks for the response! |

Re: Ghosting utility for 98
Hi all
Ghost 2003 Corporate Edition might do the trick, I believe the Ghostcast server (as spike2me mentions) is included as a utility in that package. Best of luck . . . Gary
