Activex
Have a computer running windows 98.Belongs to an elderly woman. Been trying to help her get to where she can listen to a live radio station from chicago. She doesnt have the windows 98 cd. Problem is she was infested with spyware and malware.I helped fix that, it worked. However the site she is wanting to visit, is telling her she needs activex in order to listen to that station online. What should I do that I maybe overlooking in order for activex to work for her.Is there a place i can download a file from perhaps ?

Re: Activex
Hi udon
Visit the site, and look for the system requirements for the streamed radio. (Many sites provide a link to a "Site Map" - which might help you find that information). Most Internet radio can play using Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, or similiar. If the site needs to install it's own specialized player, it could arrive as an activeX script. The download instructions are usually there on the website that requires the plugin. Best of luck . . . Gary
