Re: Help!! Blinking Cursor is driving me Crazy

Hi g02angel

Actually, most cursors blink. But I'll imagine that yours may have increased in size or shape and is now more noticeable, or more animated. You can change that behavior with your choices in the Control Panels "mouse" applet, as shown in the followng article --- http://www.waterwheel.com/Guides/tip...the_cursor.htm

The article is a little annoying, but it does give the right locations for things.

Best of luck

Hi Gary

Thank you for your help.

I was waiting for someones help ^^

I have not changed settings of the pointer previous to this blinking.

I did try the control panel and changing the settings of the pointer but it is still blinking.

Is anyone aware of a bug that does this?

It blinks with the load icon about 3 times each second.

help !!!

Re: Help!! Blinking Cursor is driving me Crazy

Hi again

If it's still pretty close to the day this first appeared, you might be able to restore a saved Registry from a date just earlier than that (hopefully one will be available ... Windows saves 5 by default)

As your computer is powering on, start tapping the F8 key to produce the Safe Mode menu. Then choose "Safe Mode Command Prompt Only", and from the command prompt, type cd\windows\command and press Enter. From that command prompt, type scanreg /restore and press Enter. A good saved Registry will say "started" next to the date. If there's one old enough, it should help reverse the change in your cursors behavior.

Best of luck
