Winbook XL\OS Change
Recieved WinBook XL for free,current OS is 95.Optimised it and runs well but would like to install 98.Will I run into problems .
I have the room ,3 gig. and the ram .Any one having a link to the operating manual it would be nice...thanks dwrigh62 |

Welcome to TSF.
Do you mean Windows XP? So do you want to install Window 98 now or Windows XP? According to the hard drive spec you gave me, this computer will probably be better off with Windows 98. XP may be overkill

greyknight17,installed 98 ,no problem except had to install LT Win modem drivers to get it on line.
Would have installed XP but to little RAM.{Min. is 64} Running great and allowed me to install better apps. and utilities Thanks |
