Dir>lpt4 strange error
I'm trying to make a net use connection between a 98se machine and an XP sp2 box for one of my customers.
The command is: net use lpt4 \\server\star /yes Connection is successful but when I try to do a dir>lpt4 I get an error message that says "Invalid function parameter". A dir>lpt1 works just fine to the local printer. Never heard of this and google and MS searches all come back with software errors. Anyone ever heard of this? Both machines are patched and up to date from windows update. No firewalls active and basic virus protection with certain exclusions enabled. |
