Screen Saver Problem
Good Morn, I have an issue with my screen saver on Windows 98se. I have two machines and both do the same thing, although one of them started about a week ago, the other has been doing this for some time. I have my savers set at "blank" screen and at "5" min. Most of the time they go on when they are supposed to, but then all of a sudden, they decide not to work. I go to "display" and the settings have not changed, but I have to reset them to get them to work again. Has anyone experienced this same issue and is there a fix. Thanks in advance for any help

If using the screen saver is the priority then I cannot assist but since you indicate preference for 'blank screen' an alternate option (quick, temp fix) of this would be to use the 'Energy Saver' Advanced tab options below Screen Saver settings. Try telling the system to turn off the monitor after determined time. It will still 'wake up' the same way the screen saver would. Hopefully these settings will stick, if not maybe an experienced tech will offer a solution.
def: quick, temp fix: bubblegum or duct tape |
