Blocking websites manually.
I want to block a website from being accessed on my computer : runescape.com. Any Idea how I can do this? I know about the hosts file but I dont have any success with that...neither my router or my firewall can block specific web sites either. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have Norton Personal Firewall, you can configure it to block whatever you want it to. What version is it? I do have the 2005 version and know that program.
However, most of the tech people on here (I don't use a free one right now) use the Free Zone Alarm firewall and you can block whatever you want to with that. I have used that one and it is good in my opinion. I am not familar with Sygate although have heard it is a nice program. Maybe someone will pick up on this who is familar with it and provide you with guidance for that particular firewall. Last edited by mark3567; 01-13-2005 at 07:51 PM. |
