Installing DirectX 9.0 Offline
I have downloaded DirectX (to cd) and cannot install it offline(it tries to open IE). Is there a way to bypass this?

Re: Installing DirectX 9.0 Offline
Depends on what download you got. Most of the downloads only start the install process and then go online to get the applicable files for installation. You can try:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en for directx 9 and http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/bb219520.aspx for ie6

Re: Installing DirectX 9.0 Offline
Actually the last version of DirectX 9.0c that works with Windows 98/Me is the October 2006 release. You can get the redistributable here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...e-46783bcac3cb As for Internet Explorer 6, it's an online installation. That's just the way it is. Once you download all the files, you're free to keep the folder and re-install again, which is what I did. There's one exception and it's if you're getting it from a CD. Sometimes in those AOL or magazine CD's (gamer magazines or PC magazines) there'll be a bundled copy of IE - and that doesn't require an internet connection to install. If you really don't want to download via Microsoft, I can zip them then upload them to rapidshare or a similar place. Just ask. |

Re: Installing DirectX 9.0 Offline
This clock projects the time, date, or temp on the wall or ceiling http://www.***********.com/clocks_1.htm some people call
it a ceiling clock but I call it a digital projection clock. I got the black one because at the time that was the only color they had. But now they have them in black and also in white. |
