enabling a USB joystick
I am trying to set up a Joystick on an old computer with 98 I have put in the software for the USB stick but it says it is gameport

Did the joystick vendor list your version of Windows 98 as compatible with the device? Windows 98 "2nd Edition" is often necessary. USB support in the Win9x/Me versions of Windows just isn't as good as later versions (Win2000/XP/Vista) - so you'll want a driver specifically for your Windows 98 version from the joystick vendor. Most Win98 machines also only have USB 1.1 ports ... if the joystick needs USB 2.0, you could try adding a PCI USB 2.0 card - but it might be an uphill battle even then. Best of luck . . . Gary
