Ipod question
My friend recently bought an new Ipod, but he has windows 98 as the operating system. When he tries to recharge his ipod by connecting it to the PC it just doesn't want to load. What might be the issue? Any ideas? Would be grateful

Hi Eestipauk
The easiest answer is to simply use the AC adapter to charge the iPod. iPods don't easily get along with Windows 98 machines - for several reasons. For one: iTunes does not support Windows 98. For another: the USB detection and support in Windows 98 is not nearly as advanced or compatible as that in the Windows 2000/XP/Vista series. Third-party applications such as WinAmp can be tweaked to work with iPods, but it's more work than the average iPod user is going to enjoy. Best of luck . . . Gary
