[SOLVED] Can't open pdf files.

i have W98se and have downloaded Acrobat Reader but not sure how to apply it. I installed it on my desktop and in Documents. I have a pdf file attachment in my email but I can't open it. The window pops up and downloads it but then I try to open it instead of saving it and nothing happens., the window disappears and nothing opens.

Re: Can't open pdf files.

Hi RC,

If you installed it successfully you should only have to click any .PDF file and Acrobat will bring it up. What version did you load? Also there are 3 PDFs in Acrobats folder under HELP that you can use to test with.

Good Luck, Jim

AcroPro90_efg. Oops. I just clicked on it in MY DOCUMENTS and a window opened up and said it can run on Windows 2000 Service Pack 4(or later).

Re: Can't open pdf files.

I figured it out. Sorry. I realized I should have downloaded Acrobat Reader 6. I did that from a website online and I checked my file in the email after I installed it and it opened up. Tks.
