Re: error occurs when i try to open my comp. and my documents

Welcome to TSF

From the Windows Start menu, point to Run.

Type MSCONFIG and click OK. This will start the System Configuration Utility.

Click to select Selective Startup.

Click to uncheck the boxes for Process Config.sys file, Process Autoexec.bat file, and Load Startup Group items.

Click OK and reboot the computer when prompted.

From the Windows Start menu, point to Run.

Type SFC and click OK. This will launch the System File Checker.

Choose Extract One file from Installation disk.

Type MSVCIRT.DLL.

Click Start.

In Restore From, type the location of the Windows installation (.cab) files. For example, if you have a Windows Millennium CD-ROM the path to the installation files will be CD-ROM drive\WIN98.

Confirm that C:\Windows\System is listed in Save File In.

Click OK.

In the Backup File dialog, click OK and then Yes.

Click OK.

Restart the computer.

The security team can help you with those. You are probably still infected. We cannot assist you with this issue here in the Microsoft Support Forum.
