Re: A Problem Installing Windows 98 from 95
enter bios to make sure your boot priority is set to first-cdrom second-floppy-third-hardrive, save changes and exit here is a common list of bios keys
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000192.htm if your 98 does not boot go here http://www.bootdisk.com/ you will need an operational pc with a floppy drive. on the main page, at the top click on bootdisks where it says dos/windows etc. download 98se oem. have a formatted floppy in the drive and double click on the file from bootdisk. have the floppy in your 98 machine, power pc and select boot with cdrom support. take note of your cdrom letter that will probably be D: at the a prompt, type format c: notice the space after format. when it is through with the format, at the a prompt, type D:, at the D: prompt, type setup and you should be on your way. hitech

Re: A Problem Installing Windows 98 from 95
No, you will have to get that 98 download to a pc that has a floppy drive and double click on it and it will extract files to your floppy. if your floppy disk has files on, it won't hurt to format it first. right click on it in my computer. don't forget to format c: first. correction- your cd drive will probably be E: this will make a bootable floppy, so have it in the problem pc and power up. follow directions in previous post

Re: A Problem Installing Windows 98 from 95
yes, on the computer that does not work. boot to your 98 floppy, choose start computer with cdrom support. at the A:\> prompt, type format C: to erase your 95 installation. when the format is done, at the A:\> prompt type E: with your 98 disc in the cdrom, type setup- press enter.
