EEK! vsdata.vxd issue!

Holy moly! I had tried this firewall that someone recommended to me in here (in a post in another topic). I tried it and then decided to uninstall it. Yes, I did use the uninstall option for it in Start/Programs!

WEEELLL..don't you that NOWWWWW.....when I restart windows, I get this black screen that is giving me this startup error with this file. Uh huh! How do I get rid of this? If I just hit enter at this point, windows does boot, but what a pain in the butt!! Please help! Thanks! :)

ok...start run regedit....find....type in the .vxd that is causing you problems and delete every refrence from the registery....that should do it...before that you might want to reinstall the firewall and try uninstalling it again...

G/L

if you screww up your registery...your system becomes an xpensive stone:no:

It may be a good idea to back up the registry to a floppy before you mess with it.

I hope you know how to enter a reg file in dos :)

I know how, but I forget offhand. :(

all I know is it takes a long time if you're importing your entire reg.

actually, it's easier

if the error says it's missing, then try to find it. it might be in the win98 cabs.
