Run Time Error R6003

I have a Compaq Presario 5000 series that I have been trying to get back up and running for my son. We were given a hard drive from someone, it has no OS on it. I went to put my Compaq Restore CD into the drive, rebooted, and the normal blue screen came up with the flashing "Compaq Quick Restore" on it.

Then........after a minute or so, down at the bottom this error came up:

Run-time error R6003
- integer divide by 0
A:\ >:

And it does nothing else but sit here.
This computer has 64 megs of Ram, a small processor and a CD drive.

Any ideas on what I can do to get it to work?
