Sound Problems

Can anyone help.
Literally overnight my wav sounds stopped.
I can play cd/dvd on computer with sound and can play radio through the net, no problem.

But when new email arrives or on ICQ there is no sound.

I have tried re installing multimedia and all sounds but no use.

Please can anyone help.

It is most annoying

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi Dawsey,
If you've re-installed the drivers and like...try going to start->Programs->accesories-> Entertainment and select volume control make sure wavetable is not muted and volume is fully up.
If so then go to the control panel and select sounds. If there are no little speakers at any of the list as you scroll down then go to the pull down menu below it and select a sound scheme.
