I have an hp pavilion 9690c, that I would like to know how much it is worth. It has 384 mb of ram, it's a Pentiun III,has a 60.00 Western Digital HD, NO OPERATING SYSTEM, Dial-up modem, it comes with the original display card, has a hp cd writer plus, and a DVD player. I want to upgrade to a newer HP. Please tell me what this PC is worth.
Thanks Nate. |

Well, it's not going to retail for anything since they're not selling it anymore.
My guess is that it's worth closer to 150 dollars. Maybe 70 or so dollars more if you're including the monitor, keyboard, speakers, and everything else that might have come with it. |

Sell the new card separately. Nobody who's in the market for performance is going to buy a PIII just because it has an AIW card in it.
My best advice would be to put the card that'll give the most performance for the least amount of cash (Geforce 3 or 4) to make it more palatable to someone who wants a game-ready PC but is on a budget. The AIW card wouldn't work because it's too expensive to begin with, plus it's a specialty card, and that'll limit your customer base. |
