Hello I have an emachines computer with windows 98 and it was really slow so I decided to erase some programs and I must have erased some important programs because the computer wont start it says "INVALID SYSTEM DISK REPLACE THE DISK, AND PRESS ANY KEY" I would really apreciate if someone could help me thank you

No,I am sure there are no disks in the floppy drive
I think I just erased some important windows components is there any way to fix this. PS-Thanks for replying my previous post

Yeah, you got a problem there........
There are several measures you can try, but you may save yourself a lot of time by re-installing Windows 98 over top of itself now. Other programs and data should be completely unaffected, but you will have to get Windows Updates again (first thing you should do once running again).

Well .. have u checked the connection of hard disk to power supply? did u touch it?
Invalid system disk error is supposed to be in 2 cases mostly one as mentioned above floppy disk in drive or hard disk not being detected.. Is there some sound coming from the cpu speaker. while u get this message on the screen.. If u r a little bit more than an average user the disconnect hard disk power supply chord and ther other one which goes in cpu slot and reconnect them again ... or u can do the same thing by pressing delete key when ur computer starts up this will take u into bios .. when u go there ... u can check whether ur hard disk is being detected... or not |
