OS:

HI,

What do you say that we start over with the installation and see what happens. Follow this process:

Obtain or download a boot disk: from here::

http://www.bootdisk.com

Select the option in BIOS setup to boot from A: as the first in line, followed by the CDRom and the hard disk last.

Set your PnP setting in BIOS setup to Enabled

Save and exit

Put the boot disk in the A; Drive and start your computer

When loaded, type in FDisk

Select the option to delete all partitions

Create a new partition

Make the partition active

Shut down the computer and reboot with the bootdisk still in A:

Type in Format and it will format the disk you have partitioned

Shut down the computer when done (quirk of mine)

When it boots back up select to load with CDRom Support and place the OS disk in the CDRom.

When it boots up, type setup and away it will go and install your OS.

(hope I didn't miss anything)

OR IF YOU WANT PICTURES AND A TECHNICAL EXPLANATION USE THIS LINK:

Tell us of any glitches along the way.

You also might want to disconnect anything attached to the computer other than keyboard mouse and monitor. and also go into bios and set to default.
