My computer isn't charging

Hi for some reason everytime I plug in my cord to my laptop, my computer won't take a charge what can I do?

Can you please get back to me ASAP please.

Do you mean that when you try to run the laptop with your AC adapter plugged in, that the laptop does not power on at all?

Or - does the laptop run fine with the AC adapter attached, but the battery doesn't hold a charge? --- for this 2nd scenario, you'll likely need to replace the battery. A Win98 laptop battery would be fairly due for retirement/replacement by now.
