Homepage Problem
When ever I want to set up a homepage on Internet Explorer, I go to Internet Options and type in the homepage I want. Now when I close Explorer and reopen it, it brings me to that homepage, but when I reboot the computer, it goes back to its default homepage and not the one I selected, can anyone help me?

Re: Homepage Problem
Hi Daigle
Some programs & toolbars can cause this to happen. Google has a preference setting that "protects" it as the default homepage (which causes it to be reset to Google if you change it to something else). The "help" files for the Google Toolbar should have the info on which preference setting you can change to fix that. I think some versions of AOL operate similiarly. Anti-spyware programs can have such preference settings, too (they will "lock" or "protect" the homepage that is in place when they are installed ... SpyBot has such an option: I'm sure there are others as well). Have a look in on that. Also, run some "thorough" anti-malware scans, as malware (especially spy-ware "search" programs) can also have this same effect. If you find evidence of infection -- you can try the 5-Step Security Checklist from our Security forums --- http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...oval-help.html Best of luck . . . Gary
