Win2k/ME Norton Brainiac needed!
I'm running Win2K Pro multibooting with WinME. I have Norton's System Works 2002 and Internet Security 2005. I'm also using SpyWareStop. There is a folder in the root directory of my C drive named "_Restore\Temp". This folder contains almost 4000 files with the file extension of ".cpy" These take up about 13 GB. What are these files, and are they safe to delete? Thanks.

Re: Win2k/ME Norton Brainiac needed!
Hi all
EndTime -- those are the "System Restore" files. An easy way to delete all but the last restore point is to run the "Disk CleanUp" utility in the System Tools folder on your WinMe start menus (Start > Accessories > System Tools > Disk CleanUp). You can also right-click "My Computer", select "Properties", select "System Restore", and move the slider bar a bit more to the left (this will limit the amount of space that System Restore is allowed to fill with restore points). 13 gigabytes of system restore points seems a bit more than usually necessary for WinMe -- I think you'd be fine with 3 or 4 gb for the restore points to use. Best of luck . . . Gary
