OS: XP & Dunno Yet!!!

LOAD OS Without CD OR FLOPPY

Hi,
I have a Fujitsu Lifebook L460, this does not have and has no slot for a CDROM or Floppy Drive. It does have a PCMCIA slot if thats any use!
I bought it off ebay and it had no hard drive or OS or anything
I've bought a hard drive, and am waiting on the lead that connects the hard drive to the laptop.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to load the OS, I have a External CD rom made by back pack which requires a floppy to install,
I have two other computers, one on XP with USB and everything and the other on 98 with just parrallel
What is the best way to sort this?
Thanks in advance
Nick
P.S I don't mind which OS as I can work my way up to XP so to speak!!!!!!

Connect the drive to a laptop as the master (remove all other hard disks) using a 2.5" <> 3.5" adapter cable. Boot from an MS-DOS floppy with CD support and do the following commands:

FDISK /MBR
SYS C:

Copy the contents of the installation directory from the O/S CD onto the hard disk. For W98 it's \WIN98 for 2K/XP it's \I386 using the DOS copy command:

COPY \<dir name> c:\<dir name>

Install the hard disk, boot to DOS, CD into the O/S installation folder and install

For W98, run SETUP, for 2K/XP, run WINNT
