help! no sound
I have a weird problem
i opened my pc today and had no sound the volume control disappeared from windows and no program would run sounds i tried reinstalling my sound driver but still nothing happens using a win98se plz help |

hmm do you have on board sound or a sound card installed?
if it's onboard check your bios and make sure it's enabled. check your device manager for any problems and insure that it detects a sound device. also let us know if you've installed any new equipment or programs lately. I've seen programs like paltalk can really mess up sound properties on some systems. Also you can go through the sound troubleshooter in OS help and support. |
