Help! My Volume Icon has disappeared!
Hello!
I'm hoping someone can please tell me what to do about this problem! I recently purchases a online program called PC Might Max. It's suppose to find any errors on my system (windows 98) and repair them! After I installed the program noticed that my volume icon located at the right hand bottom of the screen was missing! I wrote to Might Max and they sent me to Microsoft windows and they told me to up date, which I did. Still no icon. Then I wrote to Microsoft and asked them about the problem, they did not answer me! Then I wrote back to Might Max and they did not answer me! I don't have a lot of computer experience so now I don't know what to do. Any input you can give me will be greatly appreciated! Stay away from Mighty Max! Thanks Last edited by Mary45; 11-20-2004 at 07:16 PM. |

One big question: Do you have sound?
If you do have sound but no little speaker icon do this: go to your control panel Start->Settings->Control Panel. Now click on the multimedia icon and put a check in the box that says "show volume control on desktop" press apply and that should do the trick. If not, you may have to use your windows cd.
