Confused windows millenium no files in folder

when i open any folder, it says theres are files in the folder at the bottom of the page but shows none. i go to view thumbnails twice and it shows files in the folder.

seems like a corrupted file system. have you considered upgrading? there is a program called Erd Commander 2005 that fixes file systems and all that good stuff but theres nothing wrong with my computer so i havn't tried it yet but it seem like a really good progrm.

em.... problem bit l8 i visited and downloaded it but havnt used the disc that i gave me. just going to install xp and hope for the best.
