blank screen

Hi Again, nice to be back.

My screensavers (even Windows) will only work for five minutes and then it switches to a blank dark screen . Windows does have a screensaver that is a black screen, is it switching to this? When this happens I check my screensaver options and the black screen is unselected.

I'm not sure if a file got accidently deleted somewhere which could be causing this ? It just isn't stable anymore.

I miss watching my screensavers.
Do you have any ideas!

Thanks again.

Is the monitor going into power save mode? The next time your screen goes blank look at the monitor. There should be a light (led) that is normally green but when in power save mode it will turn yellow or amber.

In the power management settings (in control panel) is the monitor set to turn off after a certain time period?
