WinME - When I click on the "start" button and goto programs, the whole menu is not shown. Instead, it shows half the menu with these two down arrows. I would like to destroy that and the person who came up with that idea! How do I remove this? Thanks.
PS - I do have Tweakui installed. ![]() |

Re: Annoying!!!
Hi End,
That's the way Windoze is set up. You can move some of the junk out of the menu and put in other menus. The best way is to move related stuff out and put them into new folders. I keep Editors, Graphics etc that way. Put the new folders back into the menu. They take up one space instead of one for each Icon. Right click the menu bar, left click properties and L click Start Menu Programs. Lots of help there. Good Luck, Jim |

Re: Annoying!!!
Actually, if you go to start, settings and task bar, you can go in there and uncheck the box for "personalized menus" and that will get rid of your problem.
Sorry, I'm on an XP computer right now, so can't tell you the exact wording for the ME windows menu, but I think you should be able to find it from above instructions. |

Re: Annoying!!!
Hi Elaine and End,
If you just want to get rid of them Elaine's method works. Easier is just to right click the ones to remove and select Delete. My method consolidates items to make the list shorter. Second thought, before you delete from the Start Menu make sure they exist somewhere else or you lose the ability to start their programs. If they are already dead then someone is deleteing programs instead of un-installing them. You can also go to Windows\Start Menu and drag and drop them to other parts of the menus. Jim |
