Thanks for the link, but now i have another problem. From what i understand you need to get into Setup when the comp is starting up to be able to use the boot disk. (or am i wrong???) it says i need a password and i have no clue as to what it is. Is there any ways around this?

What setup?
What Password? ... sorry I'm gonna need a little more information, you should be able to make the bootdisk on whatever computer you use to download it.

ok, you shouldn't need to get into bios right now, just make the bootdisk on the new computer, it doesn't matter where the disk is made .. put it in the old computer while the powers off and turn the old system on, it will read the disk and bring you to the command prompt.
