How do I transfer music onto my MP3 player?

How do I transfer music onto my MP3 player?

Okay, well I just got a Samsung YEPP 55 and I have no idea how to transfer music. I put the disk in and apparently it installed then I plugged the USB cord in and it installed as well apparently and then I installed the Studio.

In the directions it says to plug it in (which I did, and it has batteries as well), turn it on, and drag your music files (in the picture it shows the My Music folder) drag your music files to the removable disk icon and I have no frigging idea where that is! So if anyone can help at all or has the same brand or model, please reply.

Thanks guys :)

hey guy,

try checking in My Computer if there is an extra drive when you plug in your MP3 player.

Hey thanks for the suggestion. At least I know what a removable disk icon is now! But it didn't work :( An extra drive doesn't appear when I plug it in. I wonder if because I have Windows 98SE would have anything to do with that?

Any other advice anyone?

My System

Make sure you install the drivers for it if it's necessary. Since you are using Windows 98, drivers are almost a must. It should have came with the mp3 player.

Hey everyone,

I've figured it out. I called Samsung's toll free help line (during the day, only had to wait about 5 minutes!) and apparently it knew the driver was there, it just wasn't showing up. So I had to go to the Microsoft Windows Updates website and download a USB drivers patch. After that it worked then I had to download it again acckk...anyways, thank you for your help. Hopefully this may help someone else having a problem similar to mine.

Thanks.
