Win 98 Booting Problem
ok here is the deal ....
someone gave me a old e machines computer and when i turn it on i get . Searching for Boot record from CDROM.. Not Found Searching for Boot Record from Floppy.. Not Found 202: Drive not ready 203: Insert BOOT Diskette in A: press any key when ready So can someone tell me whats wrong and what i need to do to get this piece of junk working or do i need to throw it in the dump ![]() |

yeah, but still got the rest - depending on the processor and memory(which you can get more) hard drives aren't that much these days I really depends on the proc and what you would use the pc for

quick note:
If it has 256mb of memory or more, you could probably stick a Linux Live CD in & run from a virtual hard drive in system memory. Won't break any speed records, but you could visit the Internet, and do OpenOffice tasks. . . . Gary
