Send a message via MSN to jcline
Is this a Compaq?

What is the make/model of the PC?

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer? If so, what did they say even if it didn't seem useful?

My System

Did a search and didn't find much information about this error. What some said is that it could be a corrupted master boot record. Take a bootdisk (windows 98/me should do) and boot from it. Load it with cdrom support. Type in fdisk /mbr and hit Enter. Restart (ctrl+alt+del) and see if the recovery cd will work now.

What's with all the CAPS you are typing in. Hard to read and a form of yelling when used online.

I know the CD won't work. Have you tried the Windows 98 floppy disk to see if that would work?
