Re: partitions help
I have never heard of merging partitions together. But rather than merging them, why not backup all your important data and do a reformat thus you will be able to determine how many partition you want and what size each of them is..
Looking at your inability to merge 2 partitions together to become more than 1.95GB, i would have to say your file format is FAT16, very old for your info.. To confirm it, right click on your hard drive partitions and click properties. Check what is written at your file system...it is FAT 16, FAT 32 or NTFS. Therefore, i would recommend a reformat, besides the benefits above, you could also change the file system to NTFS and get rid of unwanted elements inside your HDD such as viruses.. |

Re: partitions help
Hi,
Merging partitions is a feature of Partition Magic and other similar programs. It makes new Folders on the selected partition of the other partitions. You can then delete or move the data from the new Folders to recover all the space into the one partition. Hope this helps someone, Jim |
