Adaptec AHA 154/AHA 164 code 10

Sorry for the thread but I didn`t find the answer for my problem. I run Win98SE on a Dell PC. I still need Win98 because I have a SCSI card Adaptec wich runs only in Win98 for Win XP I don`t found working drivers. Recently I changed the PC and afther Instalatin I receive an error like this: The Device either is not present, not Working Properly or doesent have all drivers instaled. Code 10. Afther Instalation I had an IRQ conflict with the PS2 controler but I deactivated that one but afther I received that eror. pls someone help me I realy need tha adapter to work for my scaner or help to install it under Win XP.
