DOS Program - redirect Parallel Port data to USB Printer

Hi,

I have an old DOS program that prints to LP1. I can't modify it. My OS is Windows 98, Second Edition. My parallel printer broke and all I have is a USB printer. How can I use this DOS Program to print out the reports, to a USB Printer? Thank you for your help,

Evelyne

Re: DOS Program - redirect Parallel Port data to USB Printer

Hi Evelyne

Perhaps the easiest way, should it work, would be to try a shareware program that is said to help with this sort of thing. I haven't tried it myself, and by all means, be sure to scan the download for malware before giving it a go. A few threads here and there report success using it to print to USB printers from DOS --- http://www.dosprn.com/

Best of luck!
. . . Gary
