Please help a computer moron!

I'm infected with sypware and addware.. I am the admin account, however I cannot access add / remove programs in control panel "due to restrictions." I apologize if this is the wrong forum and/or if this thread already exists. It's a bit important to fix this as soon as possible.
also, IExplorer keeps showing up in task mnger and sucking away my cpu usage. If any additional info is needed, I will be glad to provide it! Please pity me and help!

Hi Althor

Boot into Safe Mode, by tapping the F8 key as your computer powers on, and try accessing Add/Remove from there.

Add/Remove, however, is only a mild first step in the removal of pests. Luckily many tools, and several helpful experts are available to help over in our Security forums. I'll link you to the 5-Step Security Checklist (some of the tools will be XP/Vista specific, so you'll just stick to the tools compatible with Win9x/Me). You'll notice advice for recommended tools to use in the future, as Internet-connected PCs now need to have firewall, antivirus, and antispyware protection.
