What is this inside my windows folder

Inside the my computer icon is a bunch of folders for everything in the computer. I clicked on the C:/ WINDOWS one and in addtion to many folders and programs there was these,ffff804b_{FBOD9C20-8A20-11D9-BF43-DC7381B1EB46}.tmp. They all end with tmp. There were 13 pages of these in this folder more than anything else.
I could not copy them to this thread. The icon I think is a white folded paper with the microsoft label on it.

There is more of these than anything else in this folder by far. Should I delete them? Is there a quick way to do so?

Why did they show up in there? I think they are a by product of the word program that I have been having so much trouble with.

Most times you do not need a temp file, unless you stored it as a temp.

Download and install CleanUp!

*WARNING* Cleanup deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders and does not make backups.

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu). Set the program up as follows:
*Click "Options..."
*Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
*Put a check next to the following:

Empty Recycle Bins
Delete Cookies
Delete Prefetch files
Cleanup! All Users
Click on the “Temporary Files” and uncheck the box for “Scan drives for file matching” if it’s checked.

Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program. Reboot/logoff when prompted.

Thank you for the reply. I have not had a chance to enable your suggestions, yet but I plan to and will let you know how it turns out.
Why is it making temp files of word?

Could be the result of your Word issue you are having
