"no fixed disk present" error

Hi Folks!
I used F-disk to repartition my drive to get rid of junk using Win98 SE startup disk.. Afterwards rebooted to reformat and reinstall Win 98SE but I received the prompt "drive c does not contain a valid FAT or FAT32 partition." I have A:drive, B:drive & Rom drive but no C: drive. It won't let me reuse F-disk to repartion - It prompts " there's no fixed disk present". Prompts the same when I try to reformat C:drive or try to reinstall Window98. Without being able to reuse F-disk - how can I get back my C:drive??? All suggestions much appreciated.. Thanks.

My System

Do you have a second floppy (b drive)?
I had the same problem with an old hardrive but managed to install it as a slave on another computer and it was recognised,I then was able to format it and then reinstall it on the original computer.
