No display on older monitor when booting win 98 cpu!
I am trying to recycle an older win 98 cpu with a celeron 366 for a relative to use. The win 98 computer was last connected to a Samsung 150s LCD monitor and it worked fine. I am now trying to connect it to an older win 95 monitor and there is no display. Should the old monitor work with the win 98 cpu?
I did not think of trying to boot in safe-mode when I was at my relative's place trying to make the set-up work, but will tomorrow. Any ideas? |

Booting in safe mode will work fine to get the resolution reduced to a level that will work with that old monitor. You can optimize it once in normal mode (set it and test, the wizard will ask if OK ).
